Intern Spotlight: Sara

Sara Halter - Graphic Design Intern

Sara is a senior at Buffalo State College with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Literary Studies. She is a student member of AAF Buffalo.

When it comes to design, Sara’s work has been described as clean, colorful, and thoughtful. She really enjoys experimenting with textures in her work at the moment, and creating a paper-cut out feel to her illustrations and designs. In her personal work, Sara loves to create work with a magical, surreal, or dreamlike quality- always aspiring to create things that would leave her younger self in awe.

After graduation, Sara plans to stay local and work within Buffalo’s creative community. She plans to pursue a career in design at a local agency, in addition to working on her own personal projects. In addition to her career goals, Sara would also love to travel in the future. The top places she would like to visit are Sequoia National Park and the UK.

When she is not working on school assignments or interning, Sara really enjoys focusing on things that are offline- such as crocheting, baking, sketching, journaling, reading, and above all- spending time with her loved ones (though that’s mostly virtually these days). Her favorite tv show of all time is Parks and Recreation, and her favorite books are Tuck Everlasting and Little Women. When it comes to music, she loves listening to classic, indie, and alternative rock.

Sara is thrilled with the opportunity to work alongside the talented team at SunSpin and sharpen her skills while getting an inside look at a local agency.

In addition, Sara would like to encourage anyone that has the means to do so to consider donating to FeedMore WNY- a local organization that helps provide meals and food to those in need.
